After a long wait, Niantic has finally revealed new information for the upcoming September Community Day. We already knew the dates after the events calendar, but now we know that they bring Roggenrola as a featured Pokémon.
Like every month, the community day is the perfect opportunity to leave home and participate in an in-person event. Trainers from all over the world meet here for 3 hours with the mission to capture the featured Pokémon and receive all kinds of rewards. Event Details
As planned, the September community day starts on the 18th and will last for 3 hours. From 14:00 to 17:00, local time, there will be a greater presence of the outstanding Roggenrola, even in its variocolor version. The fifth generation Rock-type Pokémon that debuted in Black and White.
If you manage to evolve it into Boldore and then into Gigalith during the event or up to 5 hours later, the latter will know the charged move Meteorite Lightning. Boldore will also appear in 4 star raids, which you can only access with raid passes and premium passes.
The exclusive Rock 'n' Roll special investigation story will also be enabled at those times, for the cost of 1 euro, or in exchange. This Special Research is non-refundable and does not include any in-game badges, it is just to accommodate the Featured Pokémon. What you can get are event stickers by spinning PokéStops, opening gifts, or purchasing them in the in-game store.
Among the bonuses of the event, the following stand out:
- Eggs in incubators hatch earlier during the event.
- For Trainers level 31 and above, there is a double chance to receive Candy++ when catching Pokémon.
- Double Candy for catching Pokémon.
- Lure Modules and Incense activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Take snapshots during Community Day.
- Additional special exchange, up to a maximum of two per day.
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust.
This is a fairly full community day, so don't miss it.
