What are the cards and what are they for?
Letters are obtained through chests, especially wooden, gold, and magic, which are the most common ones you'll get from leveling up or raiding other villages.
When you have 2 or more of the same card, you can send them to your friends as a gift, touching on said card (you will be able to differentiate them because a +2 or more will appear in the deck, indicating that it is repeated). In addition, you can also ask for cards to complete missing collections.
In addition, when you reach village 20, you will be able to trade duplicate cards for chests that will give you free spins, experience and other cards.
Finally, you should know the stars above each card indicate the rarity level. The more stars, the rarer, so they are probably the ones you have to ask your friends more often to get them.
You can access your card gallery from the side menu of the game, by clicking on its corresponding section. There you will see how many collections you have unlocked, and how many you have completed.

How to get gold cards
The golden cards are the most demanded in Coin Master, and they are one of those rare cards.
For get golden letters and increase its chance of appearing, We recommend that you do not pass a village until you have completed their respective collection. That is, do not build all the elements of the village until the collection is complete.
This will ensure that you have time to complete it before moving on to the next one.
To give you an idea, if you buy 20 wooden chests and 20 other magical chests, there is almost a 100% chance that you will be dealt a gold card at least once.
Each chest has a 2% chance of getting a gold card. Although it is a matter of luck, the more you open, the more likely you will have one appear.
If you want to see in detail what are the cards that each collection consists of, I recommend that you watch this video in which all the completed collections are shown, and thus know which cards you are missing:
